What happens when you do things too quickly

 All the deliveries this week had gone as planned:

Air shipment: check

Storage shipment: check

Furniture: check

Mattresses - check

Sofa for the basement - check

Washer & Dryer - not so much. 

I got a call around 9:30 for delivery of my "2 dryers"!!!  What, you mean I didn't order and washer and a dryer?  Oops.  Thankfully, I was able to place an online order for the washer and it was in stock in the store close by.  I guess that means I will have wait a few more days to do the large pile of laundry that is accumulating.....and Brad will just have to install the washer.

The week with high school soccer and Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie

 What a week and weekend! Saint X played in two soccer games in the regional division of the State Soccer tournament this week.  The first was on Tuesday, and they played against Trinity.  The girls cheered (but Lauren opted out); Brad, Drew and I went to watch.  It was at Collegiate, which has their sports facility close to the AHS Green.  It was a very exciting atmosphere, and the students and cheerleaders were on the same side of the field with the players, as all the fans were on the side with the bleachers.  And Saint X won, so on to the regional finals, which were played on Thursday night against Collegiate.  Lauren did show up to cheer for that game, but there were only 6 of them there, so they left at halftime. The energy was not quite the same, even though the game meant more.  When I left with 6 minutes left, it was tied 2-2.  I really wanted to stay but we had tickets for the Eras Tour movie, so I had to head home!  Saint X en...

My new accessory

  Yes, those are readers.  I am officially old.  I was having trouble doing the crossword puzzles that I love doing, so I mentioned it when I went to the eye doctor last week.  It makes a huge difference when trying to read when I have my contacts in.  But if I am trying to watch TV, I have to take them off to see the TV.  Now I understand why people are always taking their glasses off, they just need them to see up close.  There are most definitely bifocals in my future I am sure of it.  Thankfully, I think the kids got Brad’s eye genes, although all the online school and Xbox are probably not too beneficial for good eyesight. I did my first Peloton workout yesterday.  I feel like I have joined the world of 2020 now because so many people have one.  We never could have had one in London, not enough space.  It was pretty good, and I can see myself doing it again soon. Christmas Cookie Baking

When we lived in Louisville before, I would always get together with mom, Anne and Sarah to make lots and lots of Christmas cookies.  It is a great way to get in the festive mood.  It was usually during the day so the girls were in school.  One of the benefits of NTI is that the girls were able to help us this year. Mom did some research and found recipes so the cookies could be eaten by all the kids (gluten, egg and nut free)!  And they all turned out great.   Acrhie wasn't really sure what to make of all the excitement and people in the kitchen!  The kitchen worked out great because of the two large double ovens. We made the following: chocolate chip snowballs, cherry and chocolate cookies, sugar cookies with homemade icing, cranberry starts, chocolate brownie cookies.  Yum, Yum, Yum!! So fun to be able to partake in some of the old traditions.
