A new experience

I do miss my grocery delivery in London, but Kroger has a new thing called Clicklist, where you order online and then you go to the store and they load the groceries into the trunk for you.  It's almost as good as delivery, the only difference is that you have to carry them into the house from your car.  I will definitely be doing it again!

Tomorrow is the BIG day....closing on our new house.  And both of the girls start in person school tomorrow.  This week is going to be a complete WHIRLWIND.

Monday: Closing, all 3 kids to school and Drew has soccer practice at 6.  Oh, and Brad is doing training in person at Texas Roadhouse.

Tuesday: Delivery of air shipment, storage items, mattresses, furniture, installation of wi-fi, entertainment consultation and Alison has her first gymnastics

Wednesday: all 3 kids ride the bus for the first time.  Drew's bus arrives at 6:41 and the girls bus at 7:59.  Assigned seats on the bus and masks required.

Thursday: girls have NTI (non-traditional instruction), our sectional for the basement is being delivered and Alison has gymnastics again.

Friday: all 3 kids have school and Archie is getting groomed.  And once it hits 5 PM, I will be collapsing in exhaustion.

And in all my spare time, I will be unpacking boxes and discovering all the random things that we put into storage.

While I have enjoyed my "holiday" at my mom's house, I am looking forward to getting into our own space and setting up house.  It feels like we are packing up to go back to London tonight.  But we are not.  We would definitely not be able to meet our luggage quota as the girls have pretty much acquired an entire new wardrobe.

Yesterday, I had flashbacks to the first time I went to Wal-Mart in Oxford when I was a freshman in college.  I stocked up on all the essentials that you need the first time you move into a new house like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, hand soap, shampoo, dish soap, shower curtain.  That was an expensive trip!  I am sure there are a few things I forgot, but I did order us all new towels from Lands End.  I thought we deserved nice towels.
