Week Two: The one where we sweat our bums off!

Oh My Goodness was it hot this past week?????  So many outdoor activities cancelled, including Drew's first soccer practice of the week.  And I can't remember a time when I sweat as much as I did at my first tennis match on Friday.  After the heat came the storms on Friday night.   The Saint X game was being played at Central High School, in downtown Louisville.  The game had been pushed back an hour and a half because of the heat, and as soon as the cheerleaders set foot on the track and were ready to start cheering, the skies opened and the rain came!  The cheerleaders and football players rushed off the field, and all the spectators ran for cover, of which there was not much.  Brad went into the mens room and I stood under the umbrella. The thunder and lightning were fantastic and we knew the game was not going to happen.  We drove to Saint X so Brad could drive Lauren's car home as it was not a good idea for her to be driving in the pouri...

School Year 2023-24: Week One

 Well, I can’t believe it has been nearly two years since I posted here!  I am really going to try and be consistent about posting here once a week.  Consistency is my goal for life, in my diet, exercise, everything.  So check back in 3-4 weeks to see how that is going.  Lol! School year 2023-24: I feel like I am in a new season of my parenting journey, with the girls in high school and Drew in middle school.  The biggest change is that Lauren is driving, and I seriously miss her.  We barely see her and I don’t get that car time with her anymore.  It was very strange seeing her and Ali drive off on their first full day of school. (Side note she was not able to drive on the first day at school because she was grounded from driving but we won’t go into the details of that here.  I don’t think any of us will forget what happened.  It was more a lesson in trust than anything.)
